Dr. Paul Froman is a seasoned Fire and EMS professional, educator, and consultant with over two decades of experience in emergency services. As the owner of Froman Consulting Services, LLC, he provides strategic guidance, organizational analysis, and leadership training to municipal agencies, helping them improve operational efficiency and develop effective leadership practices.
Paul holds a Doctorate in Leadership from the University of Southern Maine, with concentrations in Leadership Education and Organizational Development. His dissertation explored the critical leadership skills paramedics utilize during emergency medical incidents. During Paul's education, he completed research on career retention for public safety professionals in Maine. Paul also has associate degrees in Fire Science and Paramedicine. Finally, he maintains his national registry EMS certification as a paramedic and is a pro-board-certified firefighter, fire instructor, and fire officer.
Paul's unique blend of academic knowledge and field experience positions him to use his passion for learning to help communities overcome challenges and maintain emergency services. Paul is passionate and dedicated to assisting organizations and municipalities in improving their operations and leadership practices.

Amy J. Clara, Psy.D., is a clinical health psychologist at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston, MA. She developed and co-leads the Multidisciplinary Psychosocial Oncology Service and is the Co-Director of Training for the Center for Psychiatric Oncology and Behavioral Sciences. At MGH, she is a supervisor to psychiatry and psychology trainees, is an interventionist in the Cancer Outcomes Research and Education Program, and maintains a cross-discipline electronic repository of mental health resources and referrals for patients with complex medical needs.
She volunteers her time with the Mass General Brigham Outreach Program with Native American Communities, specifically the Diné, which has led to a research interest in developing a multidisciplinary palliative care program that offers culturally informed resources for patients of a rural community health center.
In addition, Dr. Clara is an adjunct professor at the MGH Institute of Health Professions and teaches advanced counseling techniques to Master Level genetic counseling students. Tarynne Schuman, Ph.D., is a recognized expert in Leadership and Organizational Studies, with a focus on leadership dynamics and organizational change. As Founder and Chief Consultant of TrueNorth Consulting LLC, she has designed and led impactful training programs that help individuals and teams excel in leadership roles, driving productivity and effectiveness.
Her research on Generation Z in the workplace provides valuable insights into mitigating burnout and improving organizational culture. With a deep understanding of modern workforce challenges, Tarynne’s engaging presentations equip professionals with practical strategies to enhance leadership and foster success.
Education & Certifications
Dr. Wally Fraser is a licensed counselor and accomplished leader with a PhD in Leadership specializing in Organizational Development. He brings extensive experience in crisis intervention, mental health services, and organizational wellness to the board. Dr. Fraser’s academic and professional focus is on enhancing first responder wellness and the role of leadership in fostering supportive environments. He has researched officer retention in public safety, police officer wellness, and leadership support of wellness.
As a board member, Dr. Fraser leverages his organizational development, leadership, and mental health expertise to advance the Center for Emerging Leadership’s mission.
Dr. Jen Hart is an educator, researcher, and Gallup Strengths Coach with experience in higher education, healthcare, and consulting. She holds her PhD in Leadership and Organizational Studies and M.Ed. in Counseling Education. Her work specializes in employee engagement, leadership development, and team dynamics. As a researcher, Jen focuses on the relationship between individuals and their workplace, offering valuable insights for individuals, leaders, and organizations.
William Hubbard is a seasoned Cloud Architect with over a decade of experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud solutions across a wide range of industries. Renowned for his expertise in cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and cost optimization strategies, William has also been a mentor and collaborator, helping teams and individuals in his field achieve their goals by sharing knowledge and implementing innovative solutions.
In addition to his technical accomplishments, William is the owner of Lighthouse Computing LLC, where he provides strategic cloud consulting services to help businesses innovate and grow. As a board member of the Center for Emerging Leaders (CEL), he leverages his experience to empower the next generation of leaders and foster impactful change in the community.
Currie is an Urban Tree Program Manager for the non-profit Groundwork Rhode Island (GWRI). She works on GWRI’s equity-based tree planting initiatives in the state of Rhode Island. She loves learning about trees, and getting to know people in the communities this work serves. Currie studied Social and Behavioral Sciences at Boston University School of Public Health and has over 8 years of grants and data management experience for both federal and foundation grants. She’s interested in the connections between sustainability and food systems, and the value of green spaces in a community. When Currie isn’t working, she loves gardening and spending time outside with her family and friends.
